Tansformation Organizations

From Wikipedia – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_Transformationalism

Transformationalism, or Transformational Christianity, represents a fusion of evangelicalism, Pentecostalism, and ecumenism that started becoming prominent in the early 21st century. Unlike previous movements, it is typically embodied in regional meta-church organizations — alliances of churches from different denominational backgrounds — rather than particular churches, denominations, or parachurch organizations. Critics of Transformationalism accuse it of over-realised eschatology, false dichotomies, unnecessary idealism and a tendency to be corrosive of individual church identities.

Transformational Christianity interprets the gospel from a unified perspective of transforming individuals, relationships, and institutions. It thus tends to align intellectually with evangelicals, emotionally with charismatics, and socially with ecumenicals — though only up to a point. The emphasis is less on being theologically or politically correct than on being effective in transforming the world around you (and yourself). It thus tends to reflect the kingdom theology of Gordon Fee‘s radical middle approach to Christianity, which characterizes the role of the church as manifesting God’s kingdom on earth.

Ed Silvoso identifies “Five Pivotal Paradigms” he considers essential for sustainable transformation to take place.[1] Specifically, he calls people to recognize that:

  1. The Great Commission is about discipling nations, not just people.
  2. The marketplace (the heart of the nation) has already been redeemed by Jesus and now needs to be reclaimed by His followers.
  3. Labor is the premier expression of worship on Earth, and every believer is a minister.
  4. Our primary call is not to build the Church, but to take the kingdom of God where the kingdom of darkness is still entrenched, in order for Jesus to build His Church.
  5. The premier social indicator that transformation has taken place is the elimination of systemic poverty.

One defining aspect of transformationalism is its focus on what are called marketplace ministers. In this context, as in many Christian circles, the term ‘marketplace’ is used to represent business, education, and government—i.e., everything outside the church and family. The heroes of most other movements are celebrated for their church-related activities (e.g., evangelists, missionaries, bishops, apostles, etc.). In contrast, the heroes of transformationalism are lionized for their work outside the church. Importantly, they are expected to deliver secular success (new business, increased profits or efficiency, improved workplace conditions) as a precondition to spiritual success (conversions, transformed lifestyles, formal acknowledgement of Christianity, etc.). They are not valued just for making money, or even just for bringing people into the church; rather, they are seen as the primary carriers for bringing the “kingdom of God” or “presence of Jesus Christ” into the world.

Some of the Transformation Organizations are:

Harvest Evangelism Apostrolic Transformation Network (The International Apostolic Transformation Network) Headed by Ed Silvoso –

Harcest Evan. Transformation NetworkFrom their Website:

The International Transformation Network (ITN) is a voluntary association of men and women of faith and good will devoted to nation transformation. Its members are involved in developing transformational models within their spheres of influence to make the world a better place by seeing the will of God done on earth as it is done in heaven already.

One of the pace setting features of this network is the “51 percent circle.” This circle is comprised of individuals, corporations and congregations engaged in a process to progressively invest into the community up to 51 percent of their resources to meet societal felt needs including the elimination of systemic poverty. The 51 percent name was chosen to highlight that God is meant to be the majority shareholder.

ITN is a response to the need that Christians need to do more and to intentionally challenge and transform the prevailing self-centered culture. ITN is a definite must for mutual accountability, not just for strategic joint ventures. In a grass-roots effort to combat systems of poverty threatening and/or destroying nations ITN is challenging, inspiring and equipping people to be unashamedly ethical. Its members commit to the following:

o     To be ethical, operating in the highest integrity to produce and deliver quality products and services.

o     To refuse to accept or pay bribes.

o     To pay taxes according to the law.

o     To pay reasonable salaries and wages.

o     To invest in the betterment of the workers and their families.

o     To invest generously and sacrificially in the broader community, with the focus on the eradication of systemic poverty.

o     To purposefully connect with others to impact the world.

The Transformations series of movies produced by George Otis, Jr. and Sentinel Group promote the spiritual warfare and unorthodox evangelizing methodologies of NAR.  The series features prototypes of ethnic communities, cities, and nations claimed to be part of a wave of transformations in advance of the coming of the utopian “Kingdom” on earth. See trailers for the Transformations series of movies at Sentinel Media’s YouTube page.

Transformations networks work closely with political leaders.  For instance,  International Transformation Network’s conferences have included the participation of Ugandan First Lady Janet Museveni. President Yoweri Museveni and numerous other political and military leaders are featured in the Transformations movies.  Lt. Gov. James “Duke” Aiona of Hawaii has written and spoken for ITN and Hawaii Transformations.

Numerous “ecumenical” prayer and fasting movements, pastors` networks and city transformations groups fall under the domain of the apostles and draw in the unsuspecting from Protestant denominations and Roman Catholicism. The Transformations movies have played a significant role in the charismatic “renewal” movements which have divided the Mainline Protestant churches in the U.S., and this influence can clearly be seen in the Anglican renewal movements extensive ties to George Otis, Jr. and Alistair Petrie, the Canadian apostle whose role is bringing Episcopalians/Anglicans into charismatic or “Spirit-filled” belief.  The Transformations “franchises” have also played a role in attracting Roman Catholics in South American and other global Catholic populations to charismatic belief and partnership with the NAR and its agendas.  This is despite their  open demonization of Roman Catholicism which is claimed to be controlled by the “Queen of Heaven,” a powerful demonic principality. See Killing Mother Teresa with their Prayers.

The Transformations feature  prototypes of locations around the world in which “Christian dominion” over government and societal structures supposedly produce mini-utopias where AIDS is miraculously cured, crime and corruption overcome, environmental degradation instantaneously reversed and vegetables grow to monstrous sizes.  They believe these claimed results can be repeated worldwide as the apostles and prophets of the movement bring the “kingdom of God” to earth.  Locations included in the movie series include the nations Uganda, Fiji, and cities of Cali, Colombia; Hemet, California, Sao Paulo, Brazil; Kiambu, Kenya; Almolonga, Guatemala; and more.  The movies demonstrate the use of spiritual mapping, spiritual warfare, and other unorthodox evangelization tools.  The emphasis is not on saving individual souls but expelling demons and taking control of territory or entire populations.  The most recent Transformations movie came out in October 2009 and features the Sao Paulo police force, which Otis claims has spiritually mapped the city.  Link to a  detailed report on the “Transformations” movies and resulting Transformations enFollowing are Transformation organizations related to the NAR under the leadership of George Otis, Luis Bush, and Ed Silvoso and modeled after the “Transformations” series:
